Jamie Wurtzberger, MBA
Clinic Business Manager & Compliance Director

Jamie oversees all billing and insurance processes at PHA. She is also responsible for keeping PHA up-to-date and compliant with billing industry standards and HIPAA laws. She has been innovative in streamlining our internal work flow and leads our back office operations toward optimal service and performance.

Jamie earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education and double majored with broadcasting communications from Kean University in Union, NJ. She also holds an MBA in project management from Capella University. She came to PHA having worked in several important roles which required both an attention to detail and ability to see the larger system issues.

When Jamie isn’t working, she enjoys being with her husband and two boys. She loves to run, play volleyball and do strength training. She also loves anything that involves a good cup of coffee. Oh, and did we mention that she authored a children’s book about her father?!

Office Manager & Patient Intake Coordinator

Carrie keeps our day-to-day clinic activities on track. She takes new patient phone calls, schedules appointments, verifies insurance, sets up new patient records, collects copays and other administrative tasks. She holds bachelor’s degrees in studio art, art history, and psychology. She has an extensive customer service background, recently earned certifications in medical coding and transcription. Carrie grew up on the back of a horse, enjoys yoga, reading, painting, running, and traveling with her fiancé.

Andrea assists with patient intake, billing, claims filing and general office administration. She has an educational background in Sociology and a professional background in Healthcare Administration. She has three children and enjoys biking, yoga, cooking and traveling to her family’s farm where she grows veggies and raises free-range chicken and grass-fed beef.

Kelly Newcomer is the editor of our blog  and e-newsletter. She also manages our social media campaigns. If you have news pertaining to postpartum issues, infertility, perinatal loss, parenting and/or family life, you may send to her at Kelly has a background designing branding materials and social media marketing for Minneapolis arts and social justice groups including Powderhorn Art Fair, National Lawyers Guild, Kalpulli KetzalCoatlicue, and the Wedge Neighborhood News. Kelly is a mixed media artist and her work can be viewed at She’s also a proud mom of two energetic boys with lots of experience dealing with family caregiving issues of autism and Alzheimers

Meet Teddy, aka “T-dog”, a gentle, 3 year-old goldendoodle. He is completely hypoallergenic  – even to the most allergic and asthmatic folks, and does not shed. His job at the clinic is to help lower the blood pressure of all who enter the West Calhoun office. He is often seen napping, and gets so excited to meet visitors, he can hardly stand it!
